HISTORY OF NABS SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The National Association of Black Suppliers (NABS) established in 1987, is known for its advocacy, networking and community service. Through the initiative of its members, it has provided over $1 million in scholarships to outstanding and deserving students to attend college via the NABS Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship Fund is an exempt organization under the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). The Scholarship Fund promotes educational opportunities for African American youth. Since its inception, the NABS Scholarship Fund has provided scholarships to scores of well-deserving students from southeast Michigan.

Recognizing that an investment in our children's education is an investment in our economy and our future, the NABS Scholarship Fund board has worked diligently to help young scholars and their families afford the expense of a college education at many of America's premier institutions of higher learning.

NABS SCHOLARSHIP FUND MISSION

The mission of the National Association of Black Suppliers Scholarship Fund is to provide graduating high school seniors, in and around the inner-city areas of our stakeholders, the financial, psychological and spiritual support to assist with their pursuit of higher education degrees.
